Leaving aside the fact that Governor Spitzer failed to do something simple like call a phone sex number, do some cyber sexing at a chat service, or just be faithful to his wife, it seems there’s a bit of Secret Agent Man in Spitzer to go along with his high priced hooker fascination.  Buried in Spitzer’s indictment are transcripts of recorded telephone calls between Ashley Alexandra Dupree and her online escort service, as well as calls between the online sex service and Governor Eliot Spitzer, aka Client-9.  Check out this little tid bit:

“…During the call, Client-9 (Governor Spitzer) told LEWIS (The online sex service contact) to tell “Kristen” (Ashley Alexandra Dupree) to go to the hotel and go to room 871.  Client-9 told Lewis that the door would be open.  Client-9 told Lewis that there would be a key in the room, but that the door would be ajar.  LEWIS asked if the hotel staff might pass the door and close it, and Client-9 said no it was okay.  Client-9 explained that the door would not be visibly open, but if someone pushed it, the door would open.”

We can only guess at what the cheating Governor put on that door to keep it open like that…
